Lead prices fell by 0.48% to Rs 113.75 per kg in futures trade today, tracking weakness in base metals overseas on concerns of a slowdown in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, September lead declined by 55 paise, or 0.48%, to Rs 113.75 per kg, with a business turnover of 463 lots.
The October contract shed 45 paise, or 0.39%, to Rs 114.20 per kg in 27 lots.
Market analysts said a weak trend in the overseas market on concerns of a slowdown in demand after a key US unemployment report showed that no jobs were added in the world's largest economy last month mainly weighed on lead futures prices here amid growing uncertainty about the health of the global economy.
