Lead prices traded higher by 0.23% to 132.65 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, supported by a rise in demand from battery-maker in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in October traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 132.65 per kg in business turnover of 2,569 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in November edged up by 25 paise, or 0.19%, to Rs 134.10 per kg in 181 lots.
