Amid weak trend overseas, lead prices weakened by 0.57% to Rs 113.60 per kg in futures trade on subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June weakened by 65 paise, or 0.57%, to Rs 113.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 4,290 lots.

The July contract traded lower by the same margin to Rs 114 per kg in 287 lots.

Analysts said a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange and slackness in demand at domestic spot markets, kept pressure on the lead prices at futures trade here.

Meanwhile, lead decreased by 1.5% to $2,507 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
