Indian global depository receipts (GDR) opened weak in early trades in London on Thursday. The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI), which tracks 15 actively-traded Indian depository receipts, shed 0.40 per cent to 475.78 in morning trades. Among GDR stocks, only three advanced, three lost ground and one remained unchanged.
State Bank of India GDR edged up 1.19 per cent to $15.28. Reliance Industries rose 1.14 per cent to $11.53 and Bajaj Auto climbed 0.10 per cent to $9.95.
GDR of Reliance was heavily traded in the morning session today registering volumes of over 1,20,000 GDRs.

However, Hindalco shed 1.18 per cent to $12.55, Ranbaxy dropped 0.83 per cent to $15.50 and ITC ease 0.16 per cent to $14.21. Larsen & Toubro remained unchanged at $7.98. On Wednesday, ISDI fell 1.59 per cent to 473.30. The ISDI P/E ratio also shed 1.61 per cent to 9.98.
Meanwhile, Indian securities listed on the US markets had a dull day on Wednesday. Infy, the Infosys Tech ADR fell 39 cents to $44.04; Wit, the Wipro ADR dropped 17 cents to $21.06 and Say, the Satyam Computer ADR eased 34 cents to $7.55). Among others, HDB, the HDFC Bank ADR (up 25 cents to $16.41), was a notable gainer.
While the Nasdaq composite index gained 14.80 points to 1466.16. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 30.67 points to 8515.66 and the S&P 500 index edged higher by 7.65 points to 919.02.
