Low density, high density polymer up on industrial demand

Supported by pick up in demand from plastic moulding units in tandem with rising crude prices overseas, low density and high density polymer prices strengthened by Rs 2 per kg on the wholesale plastic market today.

Low density (LD) No 40 and LD No 400 polymers traded higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 94.50 and Rs 96 per kg, respectively.

High density (HD) moulding (deshi) and HD moulding (colour) gained Rs 2 each to Rs 80 and Rs 87 per kg, respectively.

Traders said firming crude oil prices in global market on unrest in Libya and pick up in local demand from plastic moulding units, mainly attributed to rise in select polymer prices.
