On limited deals, maize prices fell by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on reduced industrial offtake.
In the national capital, maize declined by Rs 20 to Rs 990-1,000 per quintal.
Other commodities, including wheat and rice remained flat on some support and closed at previous levels.
Marketmen said, sluggish industrial demand against adequate stocks mainly led to a fall in wholesale maize prices.
