Malka, moth decline on sluggish demand

Prices of malka and moth declined by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today, due to slackness in demand at prevailing levels amid adequate stocks.

Traders said lack of buying support from stockists and retailers against adequate stocks mainly led to decline in malka and moth prices. 

In the national capital, malka local and best quality declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,700-3,750 and Rs 3,850-3,950, while moth traded lower by the same margin to Rs 2,700-3,000 per quintal.

Urad 4,150-4,650, Urad chilka (local) 5,050-5,450, best 5,600-5,900, Dhoya 5,550-5,650, Moong 4,300-4,700, Dal moong chilka local 5,400-5,800, Moong Dhoya local 5,700-5,900 and best quality 6,300-6,500

Masoor small 3,250-3,450, bold 3,400-3,650, Dal Masoor local 3,900-4,000, best quality 4,150-4,450, Malka local 3,700-3,750, best 3,850-3,950, Moth 2,700-3,000, Arhar 3,800-3,900, dal arhar dara 5,150-5,550
