Malka rises on retailers demand

In restricted activity, malka prices traded marginally higher in the wholesale pulses market today on pick up in retailers demand.

Elsewhere, other commodities traded in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said pick up in demand from retailers mainly pushed up wholesale malka prices. Malka local and best prices rose Rs 50 each per quintal at Rs 4,050-4,100 and Rs 4,200-4,300 per quintal.

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,500-3,750, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 4,050-4,100, best 4,200-4,300, Moth 5,800-6,100, Arhar 4,400-4,500, dal arhar dara 5,450-5,850
