For the second consecutive hour, the markets have registered a new high of 18,426 and continue to hover around the same. The Nifty is at 5,536 adding 57 points. The broader markets too are in sync with the benchmark index at 1%. The Asian maarkets too are quite stable with Hang Seng up 1.3% at 21,248 and the Nikkei up 1.6% at 9,265.
On the BSE sectoral indices, there is not much movement. Metal up 2%, Realty gaining 1.6% and Auto adding 1.5% are the top three on the chart.All these indices have extended their gains since the opening.Oil & Gas and FMCG indices at the bottom of the chart too have extended gains.
Hindalco (Rs 176) up 3.5% is the top gainer on the Sensex followed by Tata Steel (Rs 556) at 3%, Sterlite Inds (Rs 162), ICICI Bank (Rs 1020), Infosys (Rs 2822), Jindal Steel (Rs 694) and Tata Motors (Rs 1029) adding 1.5%.
Hero Honda (Rs 1701) down nearly 2% for the second week is the top loser on the Sensex. Reliance Communications(Rs 161) and Hindustan Unilever (Rs 271) shedding 0.1%- 0.8% are the other losers which round up the list.
The market breadth continues to be positive. 2179 stocks have advanced while 599 have declined.
