MARKET REVIEW/ DOMESTIC: NON-FERROUS METALS

Prices in the domestic non-ferrous metals crept up in line with the London Metal Exchange (LME). Base metals world over have remained unaffected by the high crude prices, due to a steady demand and high prices amid limited stocks.
 
The price of nickel cathodes closed at Rs 642 per kilogram, up by Rs 32 from last Monday's close of Rs 610.
 
Copper wire bars closed higher by Rs 3 from last week to hit Rs 180. Copper heavy scraps closed at Rs 153 higher by Rs 3 from last week. Copper utensil scraps ended trade at Rs 134 from Rs 131 last last week.
 
Brass utensil scraps closed at Rs 106 , a minor hike from from last week's Rs 104. Brass sheet cutting closed at Rs 111, up by Rs 2 from last week.
 
Aluminium utensil scraps closed at Rs 78 minorly up from Rs 77 last week. The price of lead ingots closed at Rs 52 from Rs 50 last Monday.
 
The price of aluminium ingots closed at Rs 98, up by Rs 4 from last week. Zinc slabs rose to Rs 75 from Rs 74 last week and tin slabs closed at Rs 518, up from Rs 515 last week.
