The Sensex opened 90 points higher at 9807 points, and is now trading 33 points higher to 9750.
The Nifty is down 3 points at 2977.
Satyam has gained further on Wednesday. It is trading 6.7% higher at Rs 171. Jaiprakash Associates has advanced 4.7% to Rs 87.65, and RCom has gained 3% to Rs 235. Ranbaxy, Tata Motors and M&M have gained over 2% each.
Sterlite is down 1.6% to Rs 261, ONGC has lost 1.2% to Rs 663 and Wipro has lost 1.1% to Rs 233.
