Markets lose afternoon gains; Sensex down 300pts

SAfter briefly staying in the green, the Sensex is down 300 points again. The Nifty is down 102 points to 2963.

TCS is the top Sensex gainer, up 4% to Rs 568. L&T is up 2.7% to Rs 837, while Bhel has gained 2.3% to Rs 1165. Wipro and HDFC Bank are trading 2% higher.

Tata Steel remains the biggest Sensex loser, down 13.3% to Rs 212. Tata Motors has lost 12.1% to Rs 200.70. Hindalco and Sterlite are down 10.2% and 8.5% to Rs 61 and Rs 265 respectively.
