Markets continue to trade in red with heavyweights seeing continued selling pressure. The Nifty is near the day's low at 5,967 - down 24 points. Sensex is down 85 points at 19,871.
All the sectoral indices are in red with oil & gas, PSU and consumer durables sector leading the fall.
The BSE mid and small-cap indices are down. While the mid-cap index has dropped 0.6% to 8,055, the small-cap index has slipped marginally to 10,216.
Among other news, Nifty 50 stocks will see some changes from Friday. ABB, Unitech and Idea Cellular would be deleted from the benchmark index.
ONGC has shed 2% at Rs 1,391. Reliance Infrastructure has dropped 1.5% to Rs 1,067.
Steel stocks are in red. Tata Steel and Jindal Steel have slipped 1.2% each. Jaiprakash Associates, Hindalco and Bharti Airtel have also dropped in the negative zone.
Market heavyweight, Reliance, has slipped 1% to Rs 990.
Hero Honda, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are also in red.
Meanwhile, HDFC has gained 2% at Rs 721. Sterlite has added 1.5% to Rs 164.
