The markets have rebounded into the positive zone owing to fresh buying. The Sensex is now up eight points at 16,927. The Nifty is up two points at 5,045.

The Sensex has slipped to a low of 16,826 on the back of selling in the realty and oil & gas stocks. The realty index is the major dragger, down 2.5% at 3,732. The BSE Sensex is now at 16,857, down 55 points.
DLF continues to be the major loser on the Sensex, down 5% at Rs 361 and Bharti Airtel is down 2% at Rs 318. Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Communications and Reliance Industries have slipped 1% each to Rs 1,654, Rs 172 and Rs 1,034, respectively.
On the other hand, TCS, Hindalco and Hero Honda have advanced over 1% each at Rs 724, Rs 145 and Rs 1,679, respectively.
The other notable gainers are Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, Sun Pharma and Tata Steel have added over 0.5% each.
The market breadth is fairly positive, out of 2,701 shares traded, 1,566 have advanced and 1,039 have declined so far on the BSE.
