Markets recover from day's low

The Sensex has recovered from the day's lows and is now quoting at 16759, down 358 points, and the Nifty is at 5024, down 110 points.

All BSE Sectoral Indices are in the negative. Metal and realty remain the major losers. However, healthcare is the least affected, down a mere 0.71%.

Reliance Communications is the only company to register gains on the Sensex at Rs 172, up 2%.

On the losers list, DLF is down 6% at Rs 266 followed by Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Tata Steel down 5% each.Index heavy weight RIL is down 2% at Rs 1007.

The market breadth continues to be very negative, with 1943 stocks on the declining list as against 653 advances.
