The markets are trading flat, Sensex is down 17 points at 20,525 and Nifty is at 6179 down six points.
The broader markets continue to outperform the benchmark indces, the Mid-cap index is up nearly 1% or 80 points at 8507 and Small-cap index is at 10,721 up 84 points. The BSE 500 market breadth is extremely positive as 350 stocks are advancing while 149 are declining.
BOC India is the top gainer among the Mid-cap stocks followed by Binani Cement, GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare, Jagran Prakashan and U B Holdings up more than 5% each.
Among the Small-cap stocks GMR Industries is at the top spot, the stock is trading at Rs 133 up 20%. Binani Industries, Kingfisher Airlines, Supreme Petrochem and Cals refineries are also among the gainers.
On the sectoral charts Healthcare index is the top gainer, up 66 points at 6229 followed by Power, Consumer Durables, PSU and Oil & Gas indices. Meanwhile IT and Bankex are the laggards.
Apollo Hospitals is the top gainer among the Healthcare stocks, the stock is at Rs 535 up nearly 14% followed by Biocon, Aurobndo Pharma, Dr Reddy's Labs and Jubilant Lifesciences.
Tata Power leads the rally among the Sensex stocks up 3.3% at Rs 1446 followed by RCom. Hindalco Industries, ACC and Bharti Airtel.
Meanwhile mild profit booking is visible in HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, ICICI Bank and Tata Steel.
