The markets continue to move in a narrow range as there are no triggers from the international or the national front. The Sensex is up 122 points at 19,330 and the Nifty has added 32 points at 5,792. The broader markets continue to remain in the red, down 0.6% each as compared to the benchmark index up 0.6%.
Among the sectoral indices, Consumer Durables up 1.5% leads the chart followed by Auto index at 1.2% and IT and Teck at 1.1% each. Meanwhile, Health Care, Power, Metal ansd Realty has slipped into the red once again. the movers in the Consumer Durables space are Titan Industries up 4%, Rajesh Exports adding 2% and VIP Industries gaining 1%.
The gainers on the Sensex are Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates up 3% each followed by Tata Motors, DLF adding 2.6%.
The losers on the Sensex are ACC and Hindalco down 2%,Tata Power, SBI, Tata Steel and Jindal Steel down 0.5% - 0.8%.
Market breadth is very negative. Of the total 3039 shares traded on the BSE, 2044 have declined while 968 have advanced.
