The Sensex is down 26 points at 19,989 and the Nifty coninues to trade around 5,980. The midcap is down 0.1% in line with the benchmark index and the smallcap index is down 0.05%

The markets continue to trade in the red with the Sensex down 51 points at 19,964 and the Nifty lost 13 points at 5,971. The midcaps and the smallcaps too pared its gains and slipped into the negative. The midcap is down 0.1% while the smalcap is flat.
On the BSE sectoral charts, Health Care and IT are the only indices trading in the green. Capital Gooda and Auto indices down nearly 1% continue to languish at the bottom of the chart.
NTPC up 1% is the top gainer on the Sensex followed by Infosys, Sterlite, Bharti Airtel and Wipro gaining 0.2% - 0.4%
Tata Motors down 2%, Tata Steel, Hindalco, BHEL, L&T shedding 1% ecah are the top losers.
