Markets have once again slipped into the red on pressure in metal stocks. FMCG, realty and auto stocks are also in red.
The Sensex after touching a high of 20,352 slipped to a low of 20,223. The index recovered marginally but has again dropped to trade flat at 20,264.
BSE IT index, however, has continued to hold gains and is now up 1.5% at 6,146. Metal, FMCG and realty indices have dropped around 0.5% each.
TCS continues to lead the gainers list in the Sensex - up 5% at Rs 1,033. Infosys has gained 1.5% at Rs 3,077.
Reliance Communications has added 1% to Rs 180. Reliance has advanced marginally to Rs 1,086.
Meanwhile, Wipro continues to trade 5% down at Rs 447. HDFC and DLF have dropped 1.2% each in trades.
Metal stocks - Sterlite and Tata Steel are down 1% each at Rs 171 and Rs 622, respectively. Tata Motors, Jaiprakash Associates, ITC and Tata Power are down in trades.
BSE market breadth is positive. Out of 2,962 stocks traded, 1,634 have advanced while 1,219 have declined.
