Markets turn flat; realty weighs

Markets have turned volatile in late noon trades. The Sensex is now up 13 points at 20,369. Nifty is flat at 6,121.

The markets are moving in a narrow band post RBI rate hike. The Sensex has now added two points to 20,358 and Nifty is at 6115 up by a point.

ACC is the top gainer among the Sensex stocks, up 4.6% at Rs 1061 followed by L&T, Wipro, Tata Steel and HDFC Bank up more than 1% each. While DLF rules the Sensex losers charts trading at Rs 349 down more than 3% followed by Tata Motors, Cipla, RIL are lower by more than 1% each.

Among the sectoral indices - Realty index continue to witness heavy selling pressure, followed by Auto, Oil & Gas and Metal indices. However Capital Goods index has added 1.5% or 243 points at 16,407 followed by Consumer Durables, FMCG and IT indices.

Indiabulls Real Estate leads the losers charts among the real estate stocks, down nearly 5% at Rs 189, followed by Unitech, DLF, D B Realty and Sobha Developers down more than 3% each.

AIA Engineering, L&T, Jyoti Structures, Bharat Electricals and Punj Lloyd are gainers among the capital goods stocks.

The market breadth is negative, out of 3,013 stocks traded on the BSE, 1,532 stocks are declining and 1,387 stocks are advancing.
