Maruti Suzuki India has dipped more than 3% at Rs 1,076 after the workers at the Manesar plant went on stay-in strike from Friday afternoon affecting production.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest that the company dismissed 10 workers, terminated five trainees and suspended 10 employees on Sunday in connection with the strike and violence at the Manesar factory premises.
The stock opened at Rs 1,080 and touched a low of Rs 1,066 on the National Stock Exchange. A combined 118,974 shares have changed hands on the counter in morning deals.
