The increase was led by strong demand for compact segment vehicles such as Baleno (launched in October last year) and the utility vehicles such as S Cross.
Maruti's domestic sales in the nine-month ending December 2015 rose 13.9% to 971,958 units. Exports in the same month saw a moderate growth of 5.1% to 96,888 units.
At 12:57 pm, the stock up 0.5% at Rs 4,638 as compared to 0.1% decline in Sensex. A combined 184,143 shares changed hands on the counter of the NSE and BSE so far.
