Masoor, gram prices rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on emergence of stockists buying, driven by pick-up in retailers' demand.
However, urad and its dal declined on lack of support.
Market analysts said fresh buying by stockists following pick-up in retailers demand, mainly pushed up wholesale masoor and gram prices.
Masoor small and bold prices rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,800-3,000 and Rs 2,950-3,200, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3,300-3,400 and Rs 3,600-3,900 per quintal, respectively.
Gram also moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 2,575-2,600 and its dal local and best quality gained Rs 100 each to Rs 3,100-3,115 and Rs 3,200-3,325 per quintal, respectively. However, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,900-4,300 and Rs 4,800-5,200 per quintal, respectively.
