Masoor, its dal rises on retailers demand

Masoor and its dal prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal on pick up in retailers demand in an otherwise steady pulses market today. 

Traders said pick up in demand from retailers in view of the ongoing marriage season, influenced masoor and its dal prices.

Meanwhile, state-run MMTC invited competitive bids for the import of 37,000 tonnes of pulses  to be delivered next month.

In the national capital, masoor small and bold prices rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,000-3,200 and Rs 3,200-3,450 while its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3800-3900 and Rs 4050-4350 per quintal.
