Masoor prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on pick up in demand, while gram and its dal declined for want of support.
Traders said pick up in retailers demand mainly led to the rise in wholesale masoor and its dal prices.
Masoor small and bold prices gained Rs 50 each to Rs 2,900-3,100 and Rs 3,100-3,350 and its dal local and best quality also traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 3,950-4,250 per quintal.
However, gram and its dal local and best quality lacked necessary buiying support and traded lower by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,450-2,475,Rs 2,725-2,750 and Rs 2,775-2,875 per quintal respectively.
