Mentha oil prices climbed by 3% to Rs 2,443.40 per kg in futures market today on rising domestic and export demand against less arrivals from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, March mentha oil jumped by Rs 71.20, or 3% to Rs 2443.40 per kg in business turnover of 47 lots.
The April contract shot up by Rs 71.60, or 3% to Rs 2457.10 per kg in 3 lots.
Analysts said besides rising domestic and export demand in the spot market against less arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh mainly kept mentha oil prices firm at futures trading.
