Mentha oil declines 0.7% on profit-booking

Increased arrivals from Chandausi affected the trade

Mentha oil prices fell by 0.66% to Rs 927 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in profit-booking amid subdued spot demand.

Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil for delivery in June fell by Rs 6.20, or 0.66%, to Rs 927 per kg in 414 lots.

The May contract drifted by Rs 5.20, or 0.56%, to Rs 918.50 per kg in 48 lots.

The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, traders said.
