Mentha oil prices declined by Rs 1.70 to Rs 1,123.10 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators.

Weak spot market demand at prevailing levels also put pressure on mentha oil prices in futures trade here.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, September mentha oil declined by Rs 1.70, or 0.15%, to Rs 1,123.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 247 lots.

The August contract weakened by Rs 1.60, or 0.14%, to Rs 1,105.60 per kg in 101 lots.

Marketmen attributed the decline in mentha oil prices to profit-booking by speculators amid a fall in spot demand.
