Mentha oil declines on profit-booking

Adequate stocks position affected the trade

Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 13.20 to Rs 898.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in profit-booking amid subdued spot demand.

Trading sentiments weakened further due to adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh, analsyts said.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract fell by Rs 13.20, or 1.44%, to Rs 898.60 per kg in 836 lots.

Similarly, the June contract fell by Rs 10.80, or 1.12%, to Rs 900 per kg in 253 lots.
