Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 2.10 to Rs 892.30 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced their positions following increased supply in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 2.10, or 0.23%, to Rs 892.30 per kg, with a business turnover of Rs 501 lots.
Similarly, oil for delivery in December declined by Rs 2, or 0.22%, to Rs 905.10 per kg in 77 lots.
Traders said the fall in mentha prices in futures market was mostly due to offloading of positions amid increased arrivals in spot markets from producing region of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
