Mentha oil down 0.3% on profit-booking

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, driven by a decline in demand from consuming industries in the spot market

Mentha oil prices moved down by 0.37% to Rs 832 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels driven by a decline in demand from consuming industries in spot market.

In addition, sufficient stocks position in the physical market following increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh put pressure on mentha oil.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December moved down by Rs 3.10, or 0.37%, to Rs 832 per kg in a business turnover of 133 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 2.90, or 0.31%, to Rs 844 per kg in 54 lots.
