Mentha oil down 0.5% on weak demand

Oil for delivery in November traded lower by 0.47%

Mentha oil prices declined by 0.56% to Rs 881.80 per kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions on the back of weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Adequate stocks availability in the physical market following increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on mentha oil.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October declined by Rs 5, or 0.56%, to Rs 881.80 per kg in business turnover of 151 lots.

Similarly, oil for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 4,20, or 0.47%, to Rs 895.50 per kg in 24 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to speculators trimming their positions on the back of weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
