Mentha oil futures prices today moved down by Rs 7.60 to Rs 1,185.50 per kg as speculators booked profits due to fall in spot demand.

Increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September moved down by Rs 7.60, or 0.64%, to Rs 1,185.50 per kg in a business turnover of 638 lots.

The October contract shed Rs 5.50, or 0.46%, to Rs 1,201.60 per kg in 264 lots.

Market analyts said besides profit-booking by speculators, fall in demand in the spot market against increased arrivals from producing belt led to the fall in mentha oil futures prices.
