Mentha oil prices declined by Rs 16.80 to Rs 1,298 per kg in futures trade today on increased supplies from producing belts against subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September moved down by Rs 16.80, or 1.28%, to Rs 1,298 per kg, with a business turnover of 97 lots.

The October contract shed Rs 16.80, or 1.26%, to Rs 1,318 per kg, with a business turnover of 268 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to increased supplies from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh against subdued demand in the spot market.
