Mentha oil futures prices today drifted by Rs 6.70 to Rs 937.50 per kg as speculators locked- in gains at prevailing levels amid slackened spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July declined by Rs 6.70, or 0.70%, to Rs 937.50 per kg in business turnover of 356 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in the August traded lower by Rs 6.70, or 0.70%, to Rs 950.40 per kg in 59 lots.

The fall in mentha futures prices was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators after recent gains and sluggish demand in spot markets from pharmaceutical units, analysts said.
