Mentha oil prices moved down by Rs 15.20 to Rs 1,348 per kg in futures trade today on profit-booking by speculators, influenced by sluggish demand in the spot market amid adequate stock availability.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, December mentha oil fell by Rs 15.20, or 1.12%, to Rs 1,348 per kg in 14 lots.

The October contract declined by Rs 12, or 0.89%, to Rs 1,341.10 per kg in 450 lots.

Marketmen said profit-booking by speculators and a fall in demand in the spot market, coupled with the adequate stocks position, mainly pulled down mentha oil futures prices.
