Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 14.60 to Rs 1,157.80 per kg in futures trading today, as speculators indulged in profit booking, driven by subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, mentha oil for February fell by Rs 14.60, or 1.25 per cent, to Rs 1,157.80 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 14.10, or 1.20 per cent to Rs 1,157.70 per kg, with a business volume of two lots.

Fall in mentha oil prices was mostly due to profit booking by speculators, subdued demand in the spot market, traders said.
