Mentha oil prices drifted by Rs 5.30, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 763.50 per kg in futures market today, as traders reduced their positions following sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, mentha for October-month fell by Rs 5.30, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 763.50 per kg, with an open interest of 2,541 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August-month eased by Rs 4.70, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 741.20 per kg, with an open interest of 2,583 lots.
Market experts said sluggish demand in the spot market mainly kept pressure on the mentha oil prices at futures market here.
