Mentha oil shed another Rs 2.70 to Rs 1,355.60 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand in the spot market and adequate stock availability.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for December delivery, it declined by Rs 2.70, or 0.20%, to Rs 1,355.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 10 lots.

Similarly, the oil for October contract delivery weakened by Re 1, or 0.07%, to Rs 1,352 per kg in 303 lots.

According to the market experts, subdued demand in the spot market and the adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
