Mentha oil futures prices rose by Rs 13, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 987.40 per kg today, as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by pick up in domestic demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, mentha oil for October delivery rose by Rs 13, or 1.33 per cent to Rs 987.40 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November moved up by Rs 12.60, or 1.27 per cent, to Rs 1001.90 per kg, with a business volume of four lots.

Traders said pick up in domestic demand amid less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, led to rise in mentha oil futures prices.
