Mentha oil futures prices surged Rs 31.80 to Rs 1,092.30 per kg today on firming trend at spot markets on rising demand against less arrivals.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, Mentha oil for November delivery surged Rs 31.80, or 3 per cent, to Rs 1,092.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 117 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in October spurted by Rs 31.30, or 3 per cent, to Rs 1,073.70 per kg, with a business volume of 90 lots.
Traders said increased domestic demand amid limited arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly pushed up mentha oil futures prices.
