Mentha futures oil traded higher by Rs 4.70 to Rs 1098.30 per kg today, following pick up in domestic and export demand coupled with lower arrivals.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, mentha oil for December delivery rose by Rs 4.70 to Rs 109.30 per kg, with a business turnover of just two lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in January moved up by Rs 3.70, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 1,111.90 per kg, with a bussiness volume of just two lots.

Traders said increased domestic and export demand against restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, a major producing centre, mainly led to rise in mentha oil prices.
