Mentha oil prices moved further by Rs 7.80, or 1.05 per cent, to Rs 750 per kg in futures trade today on rising domestic and exports demand amid tight supply in spot market.

Fall in supplies from producing regions also supported the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, mentha oil for September delivery rose by Rs 7.80, or 1.05 per cent, to Rs 742.20 per kg, with a trading volume of 136 lots.

The oil for delivery in August-month went up by Rs 4.20, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 735.60 per kg, with a business volume of 331 lots, while October contract inched up by Rs 3.60 or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 756.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 45 lots.

Traders said rising domestic and export demand, mainly pushed up the prices of mentha oil at futures market here.

They said fall in supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced the trading sentiment.
