Mentha oil moved up by Rs 68 to Rs 2,349 per kg in futures trading today following firming trend in the spot market on pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, March mentha oil moved up by Rs 68, or 3%, to Rs 2,349 per kg, with a business turnover of 19 lots.
The April delivery in April moved up by Rs 68.90, or 3%, to Rs 2,364.70 per kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
Analysts said apart from a firming trend at spot market on pick up in demand from pharmaceutical units, limited arrivals from producing regions pushed up the mentha oil futures prices.
