Mentha oil prices rose 0.13% to Rs 888.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in creating positions amid firm domestic as well as export demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for December rose by Rs 1.20, or 0.13%, to Rs 888.50 per kg, with a business volume of 48 lots.

The oil for November delivery was up by Rs 1.10 or 0.12%, to Rs 876.30 per kg, with a trading volume of 223 lots.

Marketmen attributed the rise in mentha oil at futures trade to pick-up in exporter and domestic demand at spot markets amid lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
