Mentha oil prices rose for the second straight session by rising 0.35% to Rs 848.70 per kg in futures trade today on strong demand from consuming industries in the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January gained Rs 3, or 0.35%, to Rs 848.70 per kg in business turnover of 140 lots.
In a similar fashion, oil for delivery in February edged up by Rs 2.90, or 0.34%, to Rs 858.80 per kg in 17 lots.
Analysts said besides strong demand from consuming industries in the spot market, less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
