Supported by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market and lower arrivals from producing regions, mentha oil prices gained 0.92% to Rs 895.70 per kg as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June advanced by Rs 8.20, or 0.92% to Rs 895.70 per kg in business turnover of 79 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in May gained Rs 7.30, or 0.83% to Rs 885.30 per kg in 199 lots.

Analysts said besides rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly supported the upside in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
