 "Mentha oil up 1.2% on strong industrial demand")
Mentha oil prices rose 1.21% to Rs 699.20 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend at spot markets.
Besides, tight stocks in the physical market following restricted arrivals from producing regions further supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July gained Rs 8.40, or 1.21%, to Rs 699.20 per kg in business turnover of 744 lots.
Market analysts said the rise in mentha oil at futures trade was mostly attributed to a firming trend at spot markets on strong demand from consuming industries amidst restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
Besides, tight stocks in the physical market following restricted arrivals from producing regions further supported the upside.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August gained Rs 8.20, or 1.16% to Rs 715 per kg in 291 lots.
