Mentha oil up by 0.1% on spot demand

Fresh positions created by speculators on pick up in demand against restricted arrivals influenced prices

Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 3.20 to Rs 929.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions amid pick-up in demand in the spot market.
 
Tight stocks position in the physical market following restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the uptrend.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October rose by Rs 3.20, or 0.35% to Rs 929.90 per kg in business turnover of 61 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.13% to Rs 913.70 per kg in 349 lots.
 
Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
