Mentha oil up by 1.2% on spot demand

Lower arrivals from producing regions also helped prices

Amid rising domestic and export demand, lower arrivals from producing regions, mentha oil prices rose further 1.19% to Rs 925 per kg in futures trade today.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September month surged by Rs 10.90, or 1.19% to Rs 925 per kg in business turnover of 901 lots.
 
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August shot up by Rs 9.50, or 1.06% to Rs 905.10 per kg in 437 lots.
 
Market analysts said besides rising domestic and export demand, lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly led to an upward trend in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
